On Friday 26th November, 2010, a Heritage & Regeneration Conference was held at the Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre. Conference Programme.

Following this conference, it was agreed to set up a Heritage Forum comprising the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and the various Heritage Groups within the County Borough.
